Once out of school, continuing education is important for the growth of a young practitioner. Over the years, I decided to seek out the outstanding teachers in my profession.
Jill Blakeway
In acupuncture school, I was lucky enough to have Jill Blakeway as my teacher. Jill wrote the amazing book, “Making Babies”. Her passion for fertility pulled me in. She was the catalyst for my life long career decision.
I spent 3 years studying with Jill at Mercy College. Then out of school, I spent 6 months in Jill’s private practice, observing her treat clients. The time spent with Jill helped me get the foundational experience and insight into treating fertility.
Randine Lewis
Randine is the author of the “Infertility Cure” and “The Way of the Fertile Soul”. I spent 4 years under her in a mentorship program. Randine’s focus is not only the physical part of fertility. She includes the emotional component and its potential effect on the body. Randine believes women can heal and grow stronger through the journey to conceive.
Randine influenced my desire to assist women in holding their true authentic self in the biggest journey of their lives.
Sharron Weizenbaum
Part of the success in treating is developing a treatment plan that targets the patient’s full Chinese pattern. It can take years to be gifted in deciphering the layers of symptoms to create a plan which can successfully treat and support the body.
I’ve completed Sharron’s program three times. Each round involves two years and endless hours of learning. The program targets advanced Chinese medicine pattern diagnosis for the prescription of Chinese herbal formulas. A clear and accurate diagnosis is important for treatment success.
20 years later and beyond…
Add in 20 yrs of continued personal exploration around anxiety, struggles with overall health and maintaining an emotional balance, I have gained many tools which can be utilized with acupuncture. This provides a foundation for you to explore how your body and mind come together to create your fertility.
I am a proud resident of Brewster, NY. I live with one very huge goldfish, Al, in a massive fish tank. You can often find me zooming around in Subbie (Subaru), driving to my next client. I love music and not the spa (music) stuff I play for clients. Rock and pop concerts feed my soul. I do zen tangling/doodling and putzing with a spirograph set. I’m proud of my Scottish heritage. Yup, I’m right off the boat. First generation American.
